    Grinding skills: Construction Tree!

So we all know that getting specific skills are quite hard especially skills like gathering and animal lore! I will be going over some of the grinding methods I have used to conquer the skills I want to level!

In this post I will be sharing my own opinion on how to effectively grind your construction tree skills:

    • Terraforming
    • Construction Materials Preparation
    • Construction
    • Masonry
    • Architecture
Terraforming: It's pretty simple to level this skill up, simply take a primitive shovel and lower the ground maybe 3-4 times in one tile. Then open your inventory (Press "I") and double-click on your gathered fertile soil or forest soil and dump it back on the tile you were lowering. This should level you up to at least level 30. From this point you can continue this grind or you can find an area to start flattening since you just acquired the flatten land skill at level 30. As soon as you reach level 60  you can now start tunnels which will help with the next skill.

Construction Materials Preparation: So you just leveled you Terraforming to 60, your next job is to level this skill. the most effective way to level this skill without having to build x amount of furnaces is to take your pickaxe and go and gather some rocks! To do this, right click a rocky terrain tile, select terraforming and choose dig a tunnel (make sure your pickaxe is equipped). You will start to recieve rocks, this is where you press "T" and right click on your equipped pickaxe and select "Shape". A new window will open with a drop down menu, select "Shaped rock" and you start to use the rock you gathered to create shaped rock. This will level your Construction Materials Preparations. Level 60 allows you to build all Construction Material Preparation structure.

Construction: Now we have to level up Construction and you only have 2 choices here to level it up: Either you make wattle fences to level 15 or take a primitive hammer and use it to pave to level 15. Either way, when you reach level 15 construction you will have the Anvil and Forge open to be made. This is where we start the real grind: Start by placing 2 signs for 2 Anvil and Forges. In one Build everything into it, so you fully construct it. you will probably reach level 25/28 at this stage. In the other sign ONLY place the rocks you need for it. Hammer them in and DECONSTRUCT IT:  This will not cause any problems for your skill: you are only hammering in 160 rocks to gain some skills from it. From here you can build more and repeat the process!

Masonry: For masonry, it is a little easier than Construction. First place down around 4-6 stone fences and set in 90 rocks in each. Like construction, de-construct them when 90 rocks have been hammered in. These will send you to level 30. Here you can build a Stone Wall which holds 600 rocks. Start by placing one stone wall placement down. fill it with 600 rocks and hammer that all in. Hey presto you are level 60, from here you can grind a little more to level 75 to open up the blacksmith. Just remember to de-construct these placements.

Architecture: Like Masonry you will be able to build a Castle wall placement: Unlike the stone wall you will need a 2x2 tile area to hold this castle wall. Again, just like the Stone wall, only set in the rocks that you need for the wall. Each wall requires around 1200 rocks which is 2 stone wall amounts. you will easily start to rake in skill points for this skill as you will be continuously hammering rocks into this castle wall.
