Weapons: Spear Mastery

So this is a little run down on the Spear Mastery skill in the combat page. Spears are very useful weapons (especially when horses come into the game) but nevertheless they are very useful in the game.

This little post will run down what you actually require to get to the Spear mastery skill:

First you need to have level 60 militia services, which is straight forward to get: grab a tool, a hatchet I would recommend. Take your hatchet or even a pitch fork and start attacking animals. you will level militia services up very quickly.
Second, you will need to have your farming levelled up to 60, same with Animal Lore and Procuration. You will now need to grow flax and produce Flax fibers turned into hanks using your spinning wheel. Once you have 25 hanks of linen you can finally create linen cloth which can be created at your Loom.
Third, you will now need a tailor to create a novice set of padded armour. Once you have either the leggings and/or the chest piece, you will now need to get one of your members to train you in this armour. Have them take a mallet or a practice sword to start stabbing into your chest and/or legs. Once you reach level 60 you will be granted Spear mastery.
Fourth, you will need your blacksmith to simply create a spear for you. Unlike every other weapon available on the game, the starting practice weapon is a basic spear which has decent piercing damage and the ability to cause blunt damage by swinging.
Fifth, You can now wield the spear and go out and train with it on an animal. Another method to train the spear and every other weapon is to ask a member to yield, knock them out using a mallet, switch to your spear and start attacking their body. They will not take any additional damage or any stacked damage when they return to conciousness. I would highly recommend doing this a few times until you reach level 90 for the (in my opinion) best spear in the game.
