Getting Started in Life is Feudal

Here are you priorities:

1. Scan the Map for these 4 main resources: Rock, Clay, Wood and Water
2. Make a primitive set of tools ( they break easy but will benefit you a lot in the long term)
3. Gather primitive food, Apples, Taproots and Hazelnuts
4. Level the necessary skills to provide yourself with base level housing (and a spawn point)

Scanning the map

To open your map press 'M' on your keyboard, now zoom out using the '+' and '-' Buttons located on the map itself. Drag the map open and view where you want to build. This should be your first priority as finding a place to build is key especially in a High Pop server (not so much in a single player map). Find 3 locations that would be best for you and tally them 1st, 2nd and 3rd. If one area is claimed by another user, move to spot 2 and so on.

Resources are the KEY to this game. they allow you to craft items, build structures and of course level your skills. Finding a location with the following resources will be the best start you can ask for:

• Clay
• Trees
• Rock face (hopefully near Iron or Copper)
• Water
• Sand

These 5 resources will decide if you build a wooden/plaster house or a large stone house. They can also be the decider in what items you can quickly craft.

Primitive Tools

Primitive tools are just how they sound, primitive and frail; Basic as can be. These frail tools do server a purpose however, they allow us to gather the materials needed to create Iron tools that will last longer and make actions quicker. When creating primitive Tools, think about the uses they are going to serve as they are heavy things. If you want a shack quickly, you might want to grab a Shovel, Axe and Saw to lift Clay and refine felled Trees into building logs. There's not much to say about these tools apart from the fact they will greatly assist you more than your iron tools considering how frail they are.

Primitive Food

Primitive food, you'd probably think of this as scraps or shreds of something, but primitive forms of food are considered: Apples, Fried Cod, Fried Beast, Boiled Eggs. The reason behind this is because they are single ingredient recipe types of food, they serve only to keep you well fed. In this game there is a stat called you Food Multiplier: This multiplier is not the same as your Skill Gain Multiplier, but it works in the same way. Basically: The more ingredients needed for the type of prepared dish, the higher your multiplier will sore.

Basic Skill Leveling

I will discuss this more in depth in another Tutorial as I plan to cover essentially every single skill on Life is Feudal. I will be covering every single Skill under: Crafting | Combat | Minor. Yes I will be covering basic actions etc.
