    Armour and their Counters

"That's a nice set of plate armour you got there, it'd be a shame if I was to... I dunno; Hit it with this sledge Hammer!"

welcome to my theory on the Life is Feudal armours available in-game. We all know that once you get your economic side of the game rolling full steam then the next step is gearing up for defence or war!

Now; everyone has their theory's about armours in game saying "Nah; Armour is just added weight", "It doesn't even do anything" or my favourite "It's just a waste of resources!". Technically in some cases these statements are 100% accurate, however; I have found the benefit of armour.

First of all, Quality in the game matters, anything low quality isn't going to "cut it". Just like making a quality meal in real life, you only use the best ingredients. The same applies to Life Is Feudal. If you use high quality ingredients then your items crafted will be of great quality. Now when crafting armour there are a few factors you must take into account to get the best quality armour.
    These are:

    • Quality of Iron Bars
    • Quality of Iron Ingots
    • Quality of Thick leathers
    • Quality of Thin leathers
These four factors will determine how well your armour is crafted.

    Armours:
    • Padded Armour
    • Chain-mail Armour
    • Plate Armour
    • Leather Armour
    • Scale Armour
All of these armours if crafted to a quality of 89+ will start yielding their counters.
from initial testing's and investigations I have found the following:
    • Padded Armour counters Slashing Damage (Debatable) and  yields good speed on your character
    • Chain-mail counters Piercing Damage (Debatable) but yields an OK speed on your character
    • Plate Armour counters slashing Damage (Debatable) but yields a massive speed penalty on your character for such heavy armour.
    • Leather Armour counters all attacks but faintly (Debatable) but yields great speed on your character
    • Scale Armour counters Blunt damage (Debatable) and offers good speed on your character.
    Armour Weaknesses:
All armours in game also have their counters! you can't be fully protected in that massive suit of armour! The following damage types and recommended weapons are as follows for the armours:
    • Padded - Weakness: Piercing Damage - Recommend weapon: Spears and 1-handed pierce weapons + Crossbows and Bows
    • Chain-mail - Weakness: Slashing and Blunt Damage - Recommend weapon: 2-handed / 1-handed swords and 2-handed Hammers and Axes + Crossbows and Bows
    • Plate - Weakness: Piercing and Blunt Damage - Recommend weapon: 2-handed hammers and 1-handed piercing weapons + Crossbows and Bows
    • Leather - Weakness: Slashing, Piercing and blunt Damage - Recommend weapon: all available weapons + Crossbows and Bows
    • Scale - Weakness: Piercing Damage - Recommend weapon: Spears and 1-handed piercing weapons + Crossbows and Bows
If you believe I am wrong, comment and tell me if I am and I will chat about how I carried my investigations out.
This is my own personal judgements on how the weapons affect armour types and I researched very thoroughly.
