    Weapons: A brief outlook - Post 1

Weaponry: A Brief outlook on how to use/craft weapons in-game effectively.
Are your weapons blunt and not killing your enemies/raiders? This may just help.
The first real weapon skill you acquire is the "Militia Service"which is native to be 40 on character creation. Alternatively you can actually set the first tier weapon skills on character creation as well. These range from the following:
    • War Horse Handling
    • Militia Service
    • Blades Mastery
    • Two-Handed Blades Mastery
    • Throwing Weaponry
Now depending on what weapon you want to mainly use, you will also need to think about how your character is "built". Your stats will determine how effective you work with your chosen Combat tree. If you click on each weapon skill you will see the Primary and Secondary Skills you need to effectively use the weapon in that skill tree. If you have a high level in the primary skill and not the secondary you might suffer a slight de-buff on each speed/damage or even maneuverability.
Stats are very important when considering weapons

When considering weapons you must first acquire a practice weapon, which will allow you to level up to 60. When you manage to hit level 60 you will freely open the skill to your right to be leveled up. As always you need level 60 in the previous skill to level up your tree effectively.

In my opinion the best weapons to use if you are brand new to this game would be the One-Handed Blades or "Blades Mastery". They are easy to use/They're the most made weapon in game/They are cheap and cheerful on resources.

    Crafting
Easiest way to get any form of weapon:
    1. Get level 60 Forging, on the way to level 60 make a good supply of Iron ingots and Iron Bars
    2. Get level 60 Procuration, make THICK and  THIN leather
    3. You will also need to make  Linen Rope
    4. Find your Carpenter and ask them to craft a "practice weapon" from the carpentry toolkit/Workbench/Workshop
    5. Find a wild animal or a player to practice on and practice until you are level 30.
    6. Go to your Anvil and Forge, hover over "forging" and select "forge Iron weapons".
    7. Find your Ideal weapons

    Weapon types

Throughout the skill trees in the combat page you will find the following skills that unlock your chosen weapons:

    • The first tree is mainly for Horse back riding/weapons which aren't implemented, so lets forget that exists for a moment.
    • The second tree is defined as Pollarm weaponry. Leveling up Militia service and padded armour you will unlock "Spear Mastery". IF you manage to hit level 90 in this skill you will be able to use the "Bec De Corbin" which is a High Piercing weapon used effectively against Plate armour.
    • The Third tree is defined as an Infantry weapon tree. You will unlock one handed blades, Scale armour, Shields, Axes and maces and finally the piercing weapons such as: The Morning star or War Pick. This tree is very widely used only because the weapons are simple to use, but they come at the cost of low damage rates with high speed.
    • The Fourth tree is defined as the "Tank" tree, where players unlock the dreaded Two handed swords, axes and hammers. Coupled with Plate armour you are virtually a walking piece of armour with a huge weapon capable of high damage at the cost of low speed.
    • The Fifth tree is defined as the "archer" tree. In this skill tree you unlock the ability to use crossbows for Armour piercing and bows for fast volley attacks on helpless players who can't either hit you nor catch you.
My personal Stats on each Tree

    1. For the Pollarm tree I would advise the following stats:
      Strength: 40 / Agility: 40 / Constitution: 30 / Willpower: 30 / Intellect: 10
    2. For the Infantry Tree I would advise the following stats:
      Strength: 40 / Agility: 50 / Constitution: 30 / Willpower: 20 / Intellect: 10
    3. For the Tank Tree I would advise the following stats:
      Strength: 60 / Agility: 30 / Constitution: 30 / Willpower: 20 / Intellect 10
    4. For the Archer Tree I would advise the following stats:
      Strength: 50 / Agility: 50 / Constitution: 20 / Willpower: 20 / Intellect: 10
These stats should allow you to easily use your weapons effectively regardless of their quality of crafting.

I will follow this post up with all weapons that can be unlocked currently without assistance from Admins or GM's.
