Life Is Feudal have just released their Guild claims and Torch usability into the game!
Guild claim tutorial
(I will be using images to help)
- So you just spawned in and you are currently a helpless noob running around a world full of veterans. Or you are in a Noob friendly server so the risk of being killed inst so high! Any-ways: As always, you find your ideal spot you want to settle on. I found mine instantly on spawning in:
This looks good enough to start building A good bit of land with plenty Forest and near the sea! only problem will be clay but that shouldn't be a problem, I could just create an Infinite pile somewhere, or trade with my neighbours. ( I choose a 3k skill cap server to make this easier for you )
A bit dark, but I have here a little settlement: A shack, three furnaces, one kiln, an anvil and forge, two coops (behind the shack) and a lot of wattle fences! So I played around for around 4-6 hours (me having almost 1000 hours on this game, it doesn't take long for me to set up shop) I managed to get a little settlement on the go. Unfortunately no others were willing to join me so I was playing solo. A hard task but not hard if you understand what you need to do step-by-step:So currently I have a Shack, nothing special. Trading clay for herbs with my neighbours got me 3 furances and a kiln. The rest of the items I got from hard grinding and time. So, I have a place ready for me to start playing, my only concern is raiders. So I get my work face on.
- This is where I find the perfect spot to start building my claim monument! The front being so messy I went to the backside of my shack. I found a nice little spot right beside my Camp-fire and set down the foundations for it there:
Finding a tile to build on Got it! Now to select a monument That looks just about right Hammer time Foundations set So here we are, foundations set, I am ready to get this ting built to protect my land! - Time to find out what this Moument needs! After testing with construction, you may want to unlock it to build this. So; It needs 20 Hardwood Billets, 100 bones (Not your enemies), 5 shaped rocks and 100 nails! Relatively cheap:
Cheap and cheerful Indeed, cheap. Died to a bear to get the last 40 bones... That looks relatively impressive.... I think I'd prefer a Bec De Corbin
- Now, Simply right click and Manage your claim! The claim will need maintaining! You must add all ranges of items to this claim by
right clicking the moment -> Manage claim -> open your Inventory -> Drag items to the item panel on the claim window -> click sacrifice = you will gain points to upgrade the claim.
There are different levels of monuments that reflect how many tiles you can have claimed and how far they reach out too.
- Tier 1: Monument - 0 cells
- Tier 2: Fine Monument - Circular areas with a diameter of 90 cells (45 cell radius)
- Tier 3: Great Monument - Circular areas with a diameter of 120 cells (60 cell radius)
- Tier 4: Glorious Moument - Circular areas with a diameter of 170 cells (85 cell radius)
There is NO protection for moveable and unmoveable items on that type of claim and no access rights can be set

Torches
Just how we all made them before through the Anvil and forge! Simply craft them and attach them to your character. You can use it was a WEAPON as well! As I was testing I encountered a bear and I used the torch to defend myself! It has a good range and it causes BLUNT damage.
